Under the Battery and Accumulator Act, as a producer you are required to:

Register your business in the BDO system

Before placing batteries or accumulators on the market, you must be listed in the official register. Your BDO registration number must be included on all battery-related business documents.

This includes details such as the type and weight of each battery or accumulator introduced. Records must be stored for five years.

You must ensure the collection and treatment of portable batteries, automotive batteries and industrial accumulators. This requires contracts with certified collection and processing entities.

These campaigns aim to increase environmental awareness among the public regarding the proper handling and disposal of used batteries and accumulators.

Concerning, among other details, the quantity, type and weight of batteries and accumulators placed on the market. Reports must be submitted to the Marshal Office relevant to your business location.
